South America 2016
South America Wine & Food Tour
March 8-15, 2016

Hosted by wine and food sister duo, Jessica and Karen Bell, & Iberian Wine Tours

South America is a dream destination for many. For wine lovers, the dream must include a trip to the twin wine giants of the Andean part of the new world, Chile and catenaArgentina. We are also going to Uruguay this year as an optional extension. If it's your dream why not make it happen in March 2016 on the Iberian Wine Tours South American trip?

The tour is organized by Iberian Wine Tours in conjunction with distinguished US wine school Jessica Bell of My Wine School and chef/owner Karen Bell of Bavette Restaurant and Company Brewing Restaurant.

We're going to make the most of the scenery, the weather and the wines and we'd love you to join us. The trip is for 7 nights, 4 nights in Chile and 3 in Argentina and includes the following highlights:

Wines

The love of wine and the stories surrounding it remains the driving factor behind our trips. We experience tastings of top class wines from established winemakers as well visits to what are considered the best new wineries in the region. In South America we will visit many contrasting wineries to taste some stunning wines:

Lapostolle is one of Chile's landmark bodegas and makers of the world class Bordeaux blend, Clos Apalta

De Martino is one of Chile's most progressive and exciting names, Chilean winery of the year in 2011

Santa Rita is one of Chile's best known names and home to a wide range of wines

Concho y Toro is a world giant and maker of Chile's first iconic wine, Don Melchor

Altair offers stunning Bordeaux style blends in a dramatic location in the Andean foothills

Polkura is one of the small rising stars of Chilean wines best known for its Syrah

Zuccardi is one of Argentina's best known wine families with a wide portfolio of fine wines

Achaval Ferrer is a terroir driven malbec superstar, one of Wine Spectator's top 10 wines of 2012

Catena Zapata is credited with putting Argentine wines (and in particular high altitude malbec) on the map

Cheval des Andes is Cheval Blanc's South American venture and naturally makes some classy wines

Andeluna has produced several award winning wines from the Uco Valley

O.Fournier is a maker of fine wines in a futuristic bodega in the Uco Valley
